CADET BUILDING SURVEYOR ROLE

We don’t issue Building Permits… Which gives us significantly more time to focus on the well being of our staff and how to look after our client’s needs.
We pride ourselves on providing an exceptionally high quality service for the premium clients that it attracts, which includes Government, leading Architects, developers, project managers and the ASX listed property firms.
We review projects via first principles which requires experienced Building Surveyors who have worked on major projects to use their judgement and knowledge to provide advice of the highest calibre and find solutions where others can’t.
We currently have an opportunity for a Cadet Building Surveyor, who has energy and ambition… and wants to learn… to work alongside these senior staff in a day to day role. You will be assisting and learning from the best in the industry. You will learn more in a month than a year at most other firms.
This is not an Administration role.
It is a hands on role, working right beside our Senior team, and doing what we do.
We feel it is our obligation to train the next generation the right way for the future of our industry.
Daily tasks:-
- Accompany our experienced Building Surveyors on BCA audits of existing buildings
- Plan checking of drawings to determine BCA compliance
- Find design solutions to prescriptive issues
- Solving compliance issues for builders, Architects and design teams
- Prepare Report and Consent applications, such as Reg 129s with the Fire Brigade
- Learn the Building Act and Regulations, BCA and Australian Standards from first principles
